Stage 3 of TICK - Structured Synthetic Phonics Programme for New Zealand students from beginners to remedial students

Stage 3

Welcome to an exciting stage dedicated to the exploration of vowels and vowel teams! However, before embarking on this adventure, it's crucial that students have successfully completed Stage 2.

In the 59 lessons offered in this stage, students will dive into various suffixes and prefixes (including -ing), long vowels, open syllables, the versatile roles of the letter 'e' at the end of wordsC-le syllables, Magic e and VCe syllables, the 'y' as a vowel, the two common phonemes for 'ie'substituting 'y' with 'i', the three phonemes for 'ea', and other graphemes, presented in the following sequence.

In Stage 3, students will achieve mastery over essential the heart words 'what', 'all', 'you', 'laugh', 'pull', 'put', 'push',  'were,' 'any', and 'many'.

Just like in Stages 1 and 2, you will find all the necessary materials for reading, spelling, and information in the Essential bundle. We also offer extra games to strengthen specific areas of knowledge and enhance fluency.
