This game is a favourite among children.

‘Super Otter’ is best played with between two and four players. Each participant will need a solid foundation in the alphabet sounds, long vowels, and the digraphs ‘ar’, ‘or’, ‘ur’, and ‘er’.

While revising many different graphemes, the focus of this game is on open and closed syllables. Each word to be read requires the child to determine whether to open or close the syllables. This is a skill that takes time to perfect, and this game is certainly a fun way to gain more experience
