Cheeky Series​

We’re excited to introduce the brand new Cheeky Series, a new addition to the Are You Right? decodable eBook collection.
This series features selected eBooks across all stages that include a small number of playful, child-appealing words to add an extra layer of engagement for some learners.

All Cheeky Series titles follow the same carefully controlled decodable structure as the rest of the Are You Right? series and are intended for use at the discretion of the adult supporting the child’s reading.

New Cheeky Series releases are available at the following stages:

CVC Stage
At this stage, learners encounter simple CVC words such as bum, dag, rap, nag, and bam, supporting early blending skills while offering language that some children find particularly motivating.
​Noun Phrase Stage
Cheeky titles at this level include two-word noun phrases such as a bum and big dag, maintaining the same noun-centred structure used throughout this stage.

​​Fragment and Sentence Stage
At this stage, learners read short fragments and simple sentences such as It is a hot bum and The dag is big, reinforcing sentence structure while keeping decoding demands controlled.
​Sentence Stage
Cheeky Series eBooks at the sentence level include longer, fully decodable sentences such as Cam sat on his dag, The bug bit the pup on his bum, and Cam has the big dag, supporting fluency development.
