The TICK game, Yellow Cow has been designed to focus on the grapheme ‘ow’ and its two phonemes /ow/ and /oa/, and presents an opportunity for children to embark on an engaging journey, where they can revise their alphabet sounds, including long vowels, ‘sh’, ‘ch’, ‘th’, ‘el’, ‘er’, ‘oy’, and words ending in -se. The game will also give the children the opportunity to read words with syllables while applying their schwa knowledge.
 
To partake in this adventure, gather a group of two to four players with a strong foundation in the above knowledge and skills.
