‘Steal!’ has been designed as a fun way to revise a wide range of alphabet sounds and digraphs, including ‘th’, ‘wh’, and ‘sh’, along with an array of focus graphemes, such as ‘ar’, ‘or’, ‘ir’, ‘ur’, ‘er’, ‘ear’, ‘ere’, ‘eer’, ‘air’, ‘are’, ‘eir’, ‘oor’, ‘ore’, ‘oar’, and ‘our’.
 
This game not only sharpens the child’s sound recognition but also promotes fluency in a number of high-frequency words. ‘Steal!’ is suitable for two to four players who must have the ability to blend four sounds together and knowledge of the above graphemes. 
 
This game does offer versatility, allowing you to tailor the game to the specific graphemes your group is currently mastering. Each of the colour groups correspond to a particular grapheme, e.g. red is ‘ar’. If the child (or group) does not yet have that knowledge, simply withdraw all of the red cards.
