Reading and Spelling Worksheets
 
This resource contains 23 worksheets designed to provide additional practice in reading and spelling VC and CVC words. Each worksheet focuses on a carefully selected set of graphemes, with a reference grid at the top identifying the graphemes featured throughout the activities.
 
The worksheets are designed to strengthen children's decoding and encoding skills through isolated word-level practice. The focus is on building accuracy and fluency with VC and CVC words rather than reading noun phrases, fragments, or sentences. Separate resources are available to support the development of those skills.
 
Each worksheet includes a variety of engaging activities and incorporates both reading and spelling tasks. Activities include colouring, cutting, gluing, circling, ticking, crossing out, writing, and reading, providing multiple opportunities for children to apply their knowledge of graphemes and phonemes.
